A Joomla content language describes the language of records on a multilingual site. It is used for articles, categories, menu items and other supported objects.
Difference from a language pack
A language pack translates the Joomla interface. A content language supplies content-related properties such as its tag and URL language code. Installing an interface translation does not create a translated version of every article.
How it is used
Records receive a language, while language filtering, menus and the language switcher help visitors reach the appropriate version. Equivalent Joomla records are connected through language associations. All is intended for shared content rather than separate translations.
Check language, category, menu and association settings together in Joomla. Translated text is authored and saved separately.
