What a task contains
A task has a type, parameters, schedule and state. The Joomla scheduler determines which jobs are due. Available operations depend on the installed and enabled task plugins.
What triggers execution
A supported web mechanism or server command can initiate execution. A Joomla schedule and the system cron are different layers: a scheduled record does not guarantee execution without a working trigger. Check logs and the last execution time.
Configure the trigger and test the Joomla task’s actual result. Reliable recurring work requires both a schedule and observable successful execution.
