Update Log - Joomla Learning Center

Update Log

Category: Components

Version: 1.0.27

Date: 05 October 2026

Extension type: Package

Package composition: Component, Plugin

Compatibility: J5, J6

Description

Update Log automatically records Joomla! extension installations and updates, storing information about each operation, previous and new versions, extension type, user, and other relevant details.

The component also logs Joomla! CMS updates and allows administrators to generate reports for a selected date range. Reports can be viewed in the administrator interface, exported, and opened on a dedicated frontend page.

Both dynamic and static reports are supported. A dynamic report automatically includes new log entries that match its saved date range and filters. A static report preserves the data as it existed when the report was generated.

Administrators can configure which columns are displayed, how users are shown, and other report settings. Dynamic mode can also be configured as the default for new reports.

Key features:

automatic logging of new extension installations;

logging updates of components, modules, plugins, templates, and packages;

Joomla CMS update logging;

previous and new version tracking;

logging the user who performed the operation;

report generation by date range;

dynamic and static reports;

configurable report columns;

viewing saved reports in the administrator interface;

frontend report publishing;

report export;

automatic noindex, nofollow robots meta tag for frontend report pages.

What I love about working with the guys at Joomla Center, besides their excellent knowledge of their craft, is their patience and politeness. No irritation at stupid questions, no arrogance, no eye-rolling, no heavy sighs. On the contrary, they explain things very politely and clearly, give recommendations, do things quickly and competently, and if something goes wrong, they'll fix it just as quickly. Five stars on all counts! As they say now, I'm hooked!

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Joomla Center team for their professional assistance! After my site was hacked, their specialists quickly identified and eliminated all the consequences of the attack, patched vulnerabilities, updated the software, and restored the site to its original state. I was especially pleased that the work was not only done efficiently but also with detailed explanations of all the steps taken.
