A new version of JCH Optimize 9.0 has been released, which adds a number of significant features and improvements to simplify setup and improve the performance of sites on Joomla 4.3 and above.

The first thing that catches the eye is the change in the control panel interface, now it has the same appearance as the standard Joomla control panel, and the organization of functions has also been improved for the convenience of users.

New Features

  1. LCP Images Settings for Mobile and Desktop
New options allow separate preloading configurations for selected images on mobile and desktop devices.

  2. Image Processing
An option has been introduced to crop images on mobile devices instead of resizing them proportionally.

  3. DOM Optimization
New settings now allow excluding specific sections from the Reduce DOM feature and including selected DIV elements by their IDs or classes.

Removed features

The outdated Expired Delete Cache feature has been removed. Users are advised to use the Recache CRON feature to prevent cache buildup.

Recache CRON is a mechanism that is configured and runs on the server side, it automatically updates or deletes outdated cache files. This is useful for maintaining the performance of the site.

Other changes

  • Minimum supported Joomla version is now 4.3.0.
  • Interface improvements, such as separating image optimization and CSS features on the dashboard.
  • The Lazysizes library now uses a namespace to prevent conflicts.
  • For the free version, a mode switcher has been added to the top of the Joomla admin panel.
